The Summer Olympic Games

Without a doubt, one of the biggest sporting events in the world is the Summer Olympic Games. In terms of viewership, it’s right up there with the FIFA World Cup and the Tour de France! However, getting to see the Olympic Games in person is an experience you simply can’t get through your TV screen – and we’d recommend everyone try to attend it at least once in their life.

The Olympic Games are held every four years – and it covers most of the world’s major sports. The ultimate goal of the Olympic Games is to create a sense of peace around the world, bring nations together and put all of our differences behind us to compete as one.

The Olympic Games first took place about 2,300 years ago. The ancient Greek Olympic Games were staged in the Olympia region. The Games are claimed to have originated as a celebration of art and sport to honor gods. However, some historians dispute these claims, citing the complete lack of information about the Game’s real origins. However, the ancient Olympic Games came to an end in 393 because of conflicts in the area where they were held.

The modern Olympic Games – the ones we know today – were restarted in the late nineteenth century after a 1,500-year hiatus, largely due to the efforts of French educator Baron Pierre de Coubertin. The inaugural Olympic Games were held in Athens, Greece, two years after his proposal to resurrect the Olympic Games was overwhelmingly endorsed by the International Congress in Paris in 1894. Additionally, he created the five-ring symbol, which most people recognize as the Games’ logo, and which stands for the solidarity of the five continents.

Thanks to the huge range of different sporting events that take place at the Olympics, there’s something for everyone – and it really is an event you should try your best to get tickets to!

US Masters Tournament

Golfing events like the US Masters and the British Open attract millions of spectators each year – and The Masters is the first of the four Major golf tournaments. The Masters is held in the same location each year, at the Augusta National Golf Club, which is located in Georgia. One of the interesting things about the US Masters is that it attracts quite a lot of non-golf fans, as it’s such a memorable and enjoyable event.

The Masters is considered one of the most prestigious golf tournaments and has a rich history. It was first played in 1934 and has been won by some of the greatest golfers of all time, including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson. Each year, the tournament invites a select group of golfers to compete, with most of the field made up of past champions, top players from the official world golf rankings, and players who have qualified through various other means.

Unfortunately, getting your hands on tickets to the US Masters is notoriously difficult; tickets often sell out within minutes, and sites selling the tickets have been known to crash, so it’s a bit of a gamble whether you’ll be able to go, even if you want to!

The Wimbledon Championships

Wimbledon is the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. It’s one of the top sporting events you must see in your life, and everything about the event is designed to be perfect, from the pristine white uniforms worn by staff members to the lush, well-kept grass courts. The Championship is held annually in London, England, attracting the best players from around the globe, all competing for the coveted Wimbledon championship title.

As you can imagine, getting tickets for Wimbledon is very hard – and if you don’t get lucky in the pre-sale, you should expect to queue all night just to try and get a day-ticket, which doesn’t even guarantee you entry to the courts!

However, it’s not just the amazing tennis that makes Wimbledon so special to see in person. The tournament also boasts a unique atmosphere, with the Royal Box, strawberries and Pimm’s, and the strict dress code all contributing to why people come from all around the world to watch! These fans come to get the “Wimbledon experience” and cheer on their favorite players.

The event is also a big deal for the players. Winning Wimbledon is the ultimate achievement in the tennis world – and it’s seen some of the greatest players in history stepping foot onto its courts.

These include the likes of Roger Federer, Serena Williams, and Bjorn Borg. Every year is full of surprises – and the championship is famed for its upsets and surprises, with major underdogs often causing big upsets and defeating the best players in the world!

Monaco Grand Prix

The Monaco Grand Prix isn’t the largest sporting event in the world, but it’s an amazing event to watch if you get the chance. The Monaco Grand Prix is the pinnacle of motor racing and the most prestigious race in the F1 calendar.

The race, which is held annually on the streets of Monaco, is the biggest event in the F1 world, and the highly challenging circuit, which winds its way through the narrow streets of the principality, is one of the most iconic and challenging tracks in the world. Huge numbers of fans flock to Monaco each year to see it in person – and it’s one of the most expensive events to attend, for sure!

However, the Monaco Grand Prix isn’t just about the racing – you can see that anywhere! It’s also about the atmosphere and prestige. The race attracts the rich and famous, with the glamor of Monaco’s luxurious yachts, casinos, and high-end fashion boutiques on full display. Billionaires often dock their boats in the harbor – and the event attracts royalty, too!

For the drivers, winning the Monaco Grand Prix is considered the biggest achievement there is in F1, aside from winning the Drivers’ Championship. In the past, some of the world’s biggest names have won the event, including Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, and Lewis Hamilton. One of the things fans love about the Grand Prix is the layout of the track: the tight and twisty nature of the circuit makes it extremely difficult to overtake, making for some nail-biting finishes.

FIFA World Cup Final

The FIFA World Cup Final is the most-watched sporting event on planet earth, and for good reason. The largest sporting event in the world takes place every four years, and it’s insanely difficult to get tickets for. However, those that do manage to get tickets will be in for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it’s said that the atmosphere in the World Cup Final stadium is unlike anything else on planet earth. The event is also an excellent opportunity to wager on soccer games.
