New Jersey really is now becoming a leader in the world of online sports betting, and the industry has just got even stronger. Unibet – the gambling giant owned by Kindred – has become the 17th company to offer online sports betting to gamblers in the state, giving gamblers yet another way to bet on football, basketball and more.

This launch has been made possible thanks to the partnership Unibet have created with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. This partnership has been vital, as any company looking to offer online betting in the state must also have a land-based presence at a casino in Atlantic City, in order to comply with the state constitution.

Speaking about the launch, Manuel Stan – the US SVP of Kindred – stated:

“We are very excited to launch our first sportsbook in the US and being able to give our customers in New Jersey a first-class sports betting experience.”

Unibet also announced that they’ll extend their agreement with Kambi, their sportsbook supplier. This comes after 22 years of partnership, which has seen the Unibet sportsbook become succesful in both Europe and Australia. They’ll now hope that this success will extend to their sportsbook operation in New Jersey.

What Will Unibet Offer?

Kindred – the group behind Unibet – is already a massive player in the worldwide gambling industry, with over 25 million online customers. They’re now bringing their expertize to the US, and gamblers in New Jersey are being promised a lot.

First up, Unibet will be offering three different ways to bet: a website, an Android app, and an iOS app. The apps can be downloaded from app marketplaces and are completely free, as every good sports betting app should be. Regardless of the option chosen by a player, a huge number of sports markets will be offered. This includes NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL markets.

There are also some juicy bonuses on offer, with new players able to grab both a $20 free bet and a risk-free bet worth up to $250. This means that you can bet $20 for free when you first arrive at the site, plus if your first real money bet is a losing one, it will be refunded up to a maximum value of $250. There are no bonus codes, which makes things even easier.

There are also other bonuses on offer, including weekly parlay boosts and the $100,000 Pigskin Parlay. The latter promotion offers players the chance to place a 6-team parlay on NFL spreads and then potentially share the prize pool of $100,000.

What Next for Unibet?

With the sports betting industry opening up quickly in the US, it’s clear that Unibet won‘t stop with New Jersey. In fact, they’ve already come to an agreement with the Mohegan Sun Pocono, which will allow them to move into the Pennsylvania sports betting market soon.

At the moment, there is no timescale for the company extending their reach into PA, however you can be sure that we’ll keep you updated right here on this site.
