The NFL season will come to a close on February 12, 2023. Only four teams remain in the competition, and they’ll be participating in their respective conference finals on January 29, 2023, before attempting to win it all in the big game. For the benefit of fans and those who wish to bet on the NFL this week, let’s take a brief look at those games before predicting the results of the Big Game.

Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs

Pick: Cincinnati Bengals

The two sides met at the same stage last season, with the Bengals coming out on top 27-24 on the day. At the time, it was considered a great upset. If the Bengals repeat the trick, no one will consider it an upset – which shows what a serious outfit they’ve become over the last 18 months or so.

The Bengals got the better of the Bills with a dominant display despite heading into the fixture as underdogs. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow warned the media that they don’t see themselves as underdogs, and they sure walked the talk. They put in an outstanding display to win 27-10 in the divisional round match.

The Chiefs will certainly not make the same mistake twice. They’ll be well aware of the threat that the Bengals carry. The Chiefs were quite impressive in their 27-20 win over a high-spirited Jacksonville Jaguars side as well.

For those taking note of sportsbooks with football betting, they’d see that the Chiefs got the better odds as things stand but have lost their last three ties against the Bengals. The last tie between the sides was played on December 2, 2022, with the Bengals winning 27-24 – the same scoreline in last season’s Conference final. When the two sides met in January 2022 in a regular season game, the Bengals won 34-31.

These games have been quite tight, but the Bengals always find a way to get the small margins. The Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Mahomes might not be fully fit after Jacksonville Jaguars edge-rusher Arden Key fell on Mahomes’ ankle. Burrow, who got 23-of-36 passing for 242 yards with two touchdown passes against the Bills, will be confident that he can lead the Bengals to another final. It’s time to show some faith in the Bengals.

San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles

Pick: Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles absolutely crushed the Giants in the divisional round game with a 38-7 victory. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts showed no signs that he had been recovering from an injury problem. He managed two pass touchdowns and one rush touchdown in a scintillating display.

The 49ers weren’t any less impressive in their 19-12 victory over a resurgent Cowboys side. Their defense stood tall once again. They forced Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott into two turnovers and the Cowboys to under 300 yards of total offense.

The 49ers’ rookie quarterback Brock Purdy is living an NFL fairytale at the moment. The youngster hasn’t been part of a losing side since becoming a starter for the 49ers. It’s a truly remarkable record, and he’s one win away from leading the 49ers to the big game.

The Eagles, however, are a formidable outfit. They’ve been solid all season, and there’s no reason for them to fear any side. As things stand, they seem like the most complete outfit in the NFL. There’s no baggage with them – not in the same way that the Chiefs have with the Bengals and the 49ers have in the last stages of the playoffs in recent years. It’s their game to lose.

Prediction for the Big Game

The picks state that the big game will see the Bengals face the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles will certainly go into the tie as favorites and will most likely come out on top. The Eagles will likely come out on top regardless of their opponent.

When Hurts was out with a shoulder injury, it looked like the Eagles’ path might have a few obstacles, but he showed MVP-caliber form in the divisional round. If he keeps this up, the Eagles will win the big game. There’s no reason to believe he won’t.

The Bengals will most likely suffer heartbreak once again after overachieving to get to the final. They never go out without pulling the maximum out of their opponents, but the Eagles look like a team capable of withstanding that – not that dissimilar to the Rams last season. The Eagles are the team most likely to lift the Vince Lomabrdi trophy.
