NASCAR Grant Park 220 is NASCAR’S first-ever street race. Picking a race winner has never been harder, but you’ve come to just the right place for all your NASCAR betting needs. This piece will provide pre-race odds, preview the race, and provide a betting pick and tips for your consideration for usage on the best online NASCAR betting sites.

Tyler Reddick, Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Larson, and Chase Elliot have got the same odds of winning this race. This isn’t a common occurrence.

All four race favorites have varying factors on their side: Reddick is the best at road races, Elliot has form and road race pedigree, Truex is the in-form racer, and Larson is the most flexible.

There are at least 13 racers capable of winning this race. There’s no precedent for a street race, which makes this one of the most highly-anticipated races of the season.

NASCAR Grant Park 220 Prediction

The NASCAR Grant Park 220 is one of the most highly-anticipated NASCAR races of not just this season but in many years. This is NASCAR’s first street race, so there’s a bit of uncertainty around who will win; this is clearly reflected in the odds table, where the bookmakers have four favorites for the race.

Experts have suggested that street races have a few common denominators with road races, but we can’t confirm this till the race plays out. Tyler Reddick, who is the NASCAR best at road races, will fancy himself, but he’ll get stiff competition from Martin Truex Jr. and Chase Elliot. The former is the league’s in-form racer, whereas the latter has won road races in the past and has good form.

Chris Buescher doesn’t have the best odds heading into this race, but he is a good value pick because of his expertise in road races – he’s one to keep an eye out for if you enjoy taking risks. We ultimately think it will come down to Reddick and Truex Jr, and we’ve gone with Tyler Reddick because of his expertise on similar tracks. The likes of Elliot will feel hard done by, but he’s not as good on the road as Reddick and doesn’t have the form of Truex Jr.

Can Tyler Reddick Regain His Form at Grant Park 220?

The bookies highly value Tyler Reddick, and for obvious reasons: his road race record is phenomenal; however, he hasn’t won a race since the end of March. The wins in Indianapolis and Road America feel like a while ago now. The likes of Chase Elliot and Martin Truex Jr. have also shown more consistency in recent months, and there’s no reason why they can’t continue their good form at Grant Park 220.

Reddick’s advocates will state that his last win came at the EchoPark Automotive GP: a course that shares many similarities with Grant Park 220. They’d be right to highlight how different he looks on courses of that ilk, but Reddick has been poor in his last three races; confidence carries a lot of weight in this sport, and he hasn’t shown much of it in recent weeks.

However, this race couldn’t have come at a more opportune time for him. The fact that he is being considered a favorite should lift his spirits, and we think he’ll live up to the expectation.

Can Truex Continue His Excellent Form?

Martin Truex Jr. is in red-hot form currently. He won the race in Sonoma and followed it up with a runners-up spot at Nashville. He has been in and around the top five for the last few weeks, so there’s no reason to believe why he won’t end this race in the top five.

However, the bigger question is whether he can win the race. As talented as Truex Jr. is, we think there are a few other racers with a better shot of winning a street race. Truex Jr. has surprised us with his consistency in recent weeks, but he’s still not won enough races to get our stamp of approval.

He’s also a bit of an unknown quantity when it comes to courses like the one that will be on show this weekend. If he wins this race, there’ll be no doubting him again, but until he does that, there are better picks.
