Golden State had a much easier run to the finals, dropping just four games in the previous three rounds and came into the championship series well-rested. Boston, on the other hand, had two consecutive seven-game series battles in the second and third rounds.
Despite a hard-fought Eastern Conference Finals fight with Miami, Boston upset the Warriors on their home floor in game one and headed back to Boston with the series tied at 1-1. Golden State regained home-court advantage by splitting games in Boston, before taking game five at home, highlighted by a dominant performance by Andrew Wiggins.

The Warriors had relied on spectacular performance from Steph Curry in the first four games of the NBA finals. However, in game five, with curry going 0-9 from three, Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, and Klay Thompson stepped up to lead Golden State to victory.
It’s unlikely that Steph will go blank from distance for a second consecutive game, but even with Curry back on form, it needs to be a team effort if Golden State are going to win the 2022 NBA Championship on the road in the famously hostile TD Garden.

The Boston faithful will be out in full force on Thursday night. The passionate fanbase will not want to see the Warriors win it all on their floor, so Golden State will essentially have a sixth man to deal with in the shape of the loud crowd.
