About Excalibur Hotel
The Excalibur Hotel & Casino is located on the Las Vegas Strip and is currently owned by MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) which bought the property in 2005. The project was envisioned and realized by the then Circus Circus Enterprises, later known as Mandalay Resort Group.
At the time of opening its doors, back in June 1990, it was the largest hotel in the world with almost 4,000 rooms and the overall theme of the establishment is medieval based. On a side note, the Excalibur is where the biggest Megabucks Jackpot was won, on March 21, 2003, by Josh Ford – 39.7 million USD.
