Types of Retail Sports Betting Locations

The state of Indiana has a total of fifteen land-based gambling venues. Of these, eight currently offer sports betting. Most of them, including French Lick Resort and Horseshoe Southern Indiana, are casino resorts where multiple casino games (slots, table games etc.) are available alongside sports betting. Two venues also have racing tracks: Indiana Grand Racing & Casino and Harrah's Hosier Park Racing & Casino. The newest gambling venue in the state is Hollywood Casino Lawrenceberg, which opened in 2009. At the same time, we need to outline that recent amendments in the legislation allow players from the state to access several licensed operators and place bets on fantasy sports in Indiana, which is a huge change in the overall gaming environment in the state.
