About San Joaquin County Fair Hotel

The Fair’s baby steps trace back to 1857 when Stockton played host to the State Agricultural Fair for the first time – an incentive seeking to popularize agriculture in the San Francisco regions. Barring a short interruption due to a fire and WW1 between 1902 and 1918, the tradition has not ceased since then.

A major revamp in 1994 saw the San Joaquin County Fair sportsbook acquire six new buildings, a grandstand stadium with a racetrack and barns with a capacity of 750 horses. Horse-racing activities on the track ceased in 2016 after a 150-year run. Today, the facility is owned by the California Authority of Racing Fairs. Betting on worldwide horse racing events is only possible with an online betting site, so patrons will be limited to horse racing at the Fair.

San Joaquin County Fair Amenities

One of the major services the fair provides is renting out all facilities to interested parties. The complex is ideal for a variety of public and private events, like exhibitions and conventions, corporate events, music events, weddings, reunions and other large-group gatherings. Despite the closure of the racetrack for horse racing, competitions and races continued to be held there. The track has been renamed to Delta Speedway. It is a place where you’ll find regular races like Junior Sprint, Non-Wing and Super 600 Classes, and more. The events are usually held on weekends between April and October and are trailed by food and drink services.
