    The nearest airport is Pleasanton Municipal Airport, but it only serves charter flights. For commercial flights, you will have to fly to Oakland Airport (18.9 miles away). About Alameda County Fair Hotel

The racing track at the Alameda County Fair sportsbook was built by the Bernal Family way back in 1858. As such it is the oldest horse racing track not only in San Francisco region but in the whole country. The actual fair at the venue is famous because it took place in 1912 for the first time.

The complex was used as a winter training facility for horses, with the nearby Healthcote-McKenzie House having been built to host wealthy horse owners. Several legendary horses have trained there, among which Seabiscuit. Today, the Alameda County Fair hosts over 300 private and public events annually.
